Does a stream-proof overlay mean a cheat is undetectable?

Closed thread Closed by archive

Question about wording on cheat product pages in general.

If an Aion2 Cheats listing says "stream-proof overlay," should that be read as a visual feature for streaming software, or do people interpret it as meaning there's no detection risk?

Those are two very different claims. I don't want to confuse a feature label with a guarantee the page doesn't actually make.

I'd keep those concepts separate. "Stream-proof" is an overlay-related claim. By itself, it doesn't establish that game-side anti-cheat will never detect anything.

Exactly. A capture or visibility claim isn't the same as an anti-cheat guarantee.

That's what I suspected. The wording makes it easy to jump to a much bigger conclusion than the actual feature name supports.

Also, compatibility and detection behavior can change after game updates. No forum reply should promise that a tool is permanently safe or that an account cannot be penalized.

"Stream-proof" and "risk-proof" sound similar until you have to explain the difference.

If you're comparing products, look for a clear explanation of the actual feature and its limitations. Ask support about anything that isn't explained instead of treating marketing language as a guarantee.

Good distinction. That's the answer I was looking for.
